Frankly speaking, women’s hormone health (in particular, menopausal hormone therapy) has been inappropriately addressed for many years in the United States. We now have years of data which reflect that maybe we have been wrong all along. Appropriately replacing women’s hormones (in particular, estrogen) at just the right time has actually been shown to decrease instances of heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis, anxiety and depression.

Of course, hormone replacement is not the same for every patient. We are all different and have unique circumstances which may affect treatment strategies. *Most* perimenopausal and menopausal women are candidates for hormones. Shared decision making is very important in this process. After discussing your health history, symptoms, goals and priorities, we decide on a treatment plan together (and a lot of times along with your primary care doctor and/or gynecologist).

As a cardiologist, Dr. Di Pietro realized that the paths of cardiovascular disease and menopause cross at a very unique time. She is able to use her knowledge as a cardiologist to help you to make the right decisions not only for your heart health, but also for your hormone health.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I have to be a part of your concierge program?

If you want to be a patient in our primary care practice, then yes. If you are interested in seeing us for cardiology, weight loss or women’s hormone health, then no. For our cardiology, weight loss and women’s hormone health patients, we charge per visit.

What do I get with a concierge medicine membership?

You will have 24/7 access to our physicians via cell phone or email as well as access to our office manager for non-emergent questions. We book long appointment times, approximately 45 min- 1 hour in duration. We try to be a “one-stop-shop” for our concierge patients so you do not have to worry about what you are due for and when. We will remind you of any annual labs and diagnostic tests that you are due for. Most importantly, you will become part of our healthcare family and we will treat you just as we do our own family.

Do you take insurance?

We do not accept any commercial insurance. We do accept Medicare part B (not Medicare advantage plans). Unfortunately, insurance company reimbursement only provides for limited interaction and consultation with physicians. (This is why many physicians only spend 5-10 minutes with their patients). We are dedicated to devoting the necessary time and attention beyond what traditional insurance dictates. Cutting ties with insurance companies allows us to provide the kind of service that you deserve.

Since you do not take commercial insurance, what do you charge?

For cardiology and women’s hormone health, the initial visit is $500. This includes any diagnostic studies done in the office including ECG, echocardiogram, holter monitor or exercise stress tests which you may need. We do not charge extra for any diagnostic services done in our office. Follow up visits are $200. Concierge patents do not get charged for office visits or any additional services which are offered in our office.

Can I see you if I live outside of Florida?

Unfortunately, no. As of right now, we are only licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida. We not able to see you, even via telehealth, if you do not reside in Florida. We may be offering our services in other states soon, so please check back in the future!

Dr. Di Pietro is always very helpful and will go out of her way to make sure I get the care needed. She is always accessible by phone should I have any questions, and she will follow up with me personally to make sure I am recovering well. Their office is very comfortable and has a home like feel. Much better than the normal doctor's office atmosphere. By far, the best doctor I have ever had!
