Frankly speaking, women’s hormone health (in particular, menopausal hormone therapy) has been inappropriately addressed for many years in the United States. We now have years of data which reflect that maybe we have been wrong all along. Appropriately replacing women’s hormones (in particular, estrogen) at just the right time has actually been shown to decrease instances of heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis, anxiety and depression.

Of course, hormone replacement is not the same for every patient. We are all different and have unique circumstances which may affect treatment strategies. *Most* perimenopausal and menopausal women are candidates for hormones. Shared decision making is very important in this process. After discussing your health history, symptoms, goals and priorities, we decide on a treatment plan together (and a lot of times along with your primary care doctor and/or gynecologist).

As a cardiologist, I have realized that the paths of cardiovascular disease and menopause cross at a very unique time. I am able to use my knowledge as a cardiologist to help you to make the right decisions for your hormone health as well!

If you are seeing me for cardiology or women’s hormone health only-no. Our concierge medicine program is for internal medicine (primary care) patients only.
I do not accept any commercial insurance. I do accept Medicare part B (not Medicare advantage plans). Unfortunately, insurance company reimbursement only provides for limited interaction and consultation with physicians. (This is why many physicians only spend 5-10 minutes with their patients). I am dedicated to devoting the necessary time and attention beyond what traditional insurance dictates. Cutting ties with insurance companies allows me to provide the kind of service that you deserve. You are able to utilize an FSA account should you have one.
The initial visit is $500. Follow up visits are $200. Any necessary diagnostic studies, lab tests or prescriptions would be sent to your insurance company for reimbursement (things which are not offered in our office).
Unfortunately, no. As of right now, I am only licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida. I am not able to see you, even via telehealth, if you do not reside in Florida. I may be offering my services in other states soon, so please check back in the future or let me know where you are and maybe I can recommend someone!
